Tribute refers to the first Keenan Cab made 30 years prior. A very low production best barrel cuvée, informally known at the winery as Secret Wines since they don’t appear on any menus or price lists. This is Cali Cab pure and simple (ok, a smidge of Cab Franc too). Smoke, anise, currants, aromatic wood, huge tannins (still). Fantastic power and structure. Just approaching it’s best years. — 8 years ago
Needed some aeration, then opened up nicely. — 8 months ago

50/50 Merlot/Cab. Very nicely balanced. At Family Winemakers of California Tasting in Del Mar. — 7 years ago
Probably needed more aging before opening, tannins overwhelmed the fruit at this stage — 5 months ago

07’ Seven Stone. Still quite purple in color. Blackberry, blueberry & jam flavors, dark chocolate, tea. This wine is still rather rich & dense. Have to say it has a elegance about it. This could possibly be in it’s prime for another decade. We shall see.
Nothing quite like it. Reminds me of a combination of Lail Mole Hill & Robert Keenan Reserve 😳 — 8 years ago
"Odedi"
Light golden in color.
Strong nose of citrus, apples, lemons, light earth, pears, light oak and spices.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red apples, lemons, limes, light wood, spices, light nuts and sea salt.
Tangy finish with lemons and light earth notes.
This 5 year old Chardonnay from Spring Mountain District in Napa Valley is still drinking very fresh, which I loved. Rich and smooth, nicely balanced and elegant, with a generous mouthfeel.
I had this vintage 2 years ago and it is drinking better now. Complex, fruit forward and interesting, with a light buttery mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle, easy drinking, and good by itself as a sipping wine.
100% Chardonnay grapes were handpicked and aged for 7 months, on the lees, in French and American oak barrels.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
92 points.
