Personality and enjoyment
This guy is nailing every single wine he crafts
If blind tasted i would have called Rhone Valley
No signs of oak, medium body
Grapefruit, melon, hay and mineral
Long after taste and i wonder what we will get out if this in a few years.
Very classy. — a month ago
Wow, this is a big pinot with a marvellous tannin.
Bright and quiet vibrant.
There's leather, cinnamon, forest floor, musk.
White pepper, very floral, a blueberry with raspberries around. The green balsamic side is a delicate Thai mint rather than a straightforward eucalyptus. Tobacco leaves and more notes given by the very present oak component.
I trust this wine will find a better harmony on the sweet side in a while, perhaps when the tannin will soften.
However this is very different vest from the 19s and the 17s., more complex already and even though I believe this wine will age gracefully for a bit I find it already on a secondary stage compared to the formers. I am very fascinated, it reminded of a Vosne from Dom. Laurent.
Long after taste, excellent! — 2 months ago
Impulse buy at Sam's Club. I have tried a few from this maker and enjoy all of them. Definitely have to be aware of the cost though. I try to be thrifty because of my consumption volume 😁 — a day ago
Another bottle. Thanks Robbie. Amazingly dense nose. Curry spices, sage and a horse. Graphite and pencil sharpener. Plus something fruity. Maybe plums. Or dried sweet cherries. Flavors are classic Amador Zin. Nutmeg and cherry juice. Campfires and fancy Flame raisins. It’s still a nice wine, but better smelling than it tastes. The mouth has a bit too much ripe stuff and not enough to chewy on. — a month ago
We had the 2014 Vintage on 9/24-25/20. Black cherry, raspberry and some spice. A smooth mouth feel and a long finish. Velvety mouth feel. Very good. — 2 months ago
Solid 9.0. #barossa valley #barossavalley blend of #gsm #grenache, #shiraz and #mataro or #garnacha #syrah and #monastrell #mourvedre Deep deep color typically ripe (low latitude=intense sunlight) medium (+) aromas of red and black fruit, hints of ink, chocolate and toast. On the palate...as one would expect, ripe and juicy. Maintains a lovely balance between the ripeness and juicy sweetness of the fruit, the medium acidity and the high alcohol (hardly noticeable) and ripe tannins. Good stuff. Reminds me of my wines from Campo de Borja. #australia #southaustralia — 2 months ago

Looking for balance, but a beauty
Cherry, cloves, tar, rose petals and balsamic
Present tannin, but of great quality
I have another bottle which I will try to put away for at list 3 to 5 years
Blindly I would have called nebbiolo no doubt
At this stage it requests food to fully enjoy it. — 2 months ago
