Morgon Gamay 2018

Intensely fruity, charming nose. Confirmed on the palate with notes of ripe strawberries, cherries, floral notes of roses and slightly peppery. Little notes of aging, just the fruit well worked with little addition of sulfur. Beautiful youthful ardor that will certainly age wonderfully.

Moulin-à-Vent Gamay 2017

Always a pleasure to taste the wines of JP Brun. This purple-colored Moulin-à-Vent delivers magnificent airy notes of undergrowth, ash, accompanied by a floral burst of dry roses / peonies; Morello cherry, blackberries. The mouth is very fine. silky tannins testify to a great mastery of winemaking. 2017 vintage begins to « pinote » wonderfully and will win again with a few years in the cellar (for those who enjoy Burdundy style). Reference!

Gamay, which is distinguished from carbonic maceration Bojo, by its aerial vegetal character almost infused with many nuances. It is nonetheless a light wine with paradoxically intense fruit (sour cherry). The finish reveals fine and persistent tannins that are very appreciable for its price. Will « Pinote » like Burgundy wines in 2,3 years !

Beaujolais Blanc Chardonnay 2016

Top Beaujolais Blanc in my book.
Light/dry. Malolactic detected, but not super full on the palate. Stainless shows. Rock, lemons, some orchard fruits and flowers. Medium acidity, medium alcohol. Young, fresh and easy going bojo from a great producer. Went well with butter chicken and French string beans

Les Cerisières Mercurey Pinot Noir 2017

Needs some breathing, very tight at the moment, but then opening up to sour cherries, bread yeast, sone wet leaves, riper cherries...loved it, good value in Burgundy — 4 hours ago

Grande Cuvée Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Bartlett pear skin and starfruit on the nose. On the palette, here comes the citrus with lemon, tight orange, and cantaloupe. Even banana makes an appearance alongside the shiny wood box of a base for this one. I really enjoyed this. We visited the Loire Valley at the tail end of our France trip last year and we definitely saw some diversity in the expressions we tried. It makes me want to taste even more from the region. We enjoyed picking out the flavors here. — a month ago

Cuvée l'Ancien Vieilles Vignes Beaujolais Gamay 2018

Light and very fruity. Almost infused floral notes. A gourmet Beaujolais by one of the great craftsmen of the region with respect for nature. The kind of wine at 14 € that I could drink from morning to evening, serve around 13-14 degrees. — a month ago
