Morgeot Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2017

Medium lemon yellow colour . Quite rich and ripe on the nose with buttered popcorn , lemon oil , toasty hints and some honeysuckle and peach . On the palate this is also quite rich , with lemon peel , apricot and but balanced by good acidity and a quite saline mineral , seashell tinged finish . Drinking well now and over the next 5-8 years. From a half bottle . — 3 days ago

Les Champs Claude Santenay Pinot Noir 2018

Notes of raspberry, cranberry and rose water finish. Balanced tannins, has enough backbone to pair with hamachi tuna and black truffle pork dumplings, among other items. A Chef Wolfgang Puck restaurant — 10 months ago

Saint-Joseph Syrah 2019

2019 vintage. As rustic as ever. Blood. Earth. Plum. Stems. Heavy body. A step or two above a solid workhorse but not flighty. Tremendous punch. Could be wrong but think this producer only does Saint Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage and both are great QPR. 10.30.24. — 25 days ago

So overlooked and it’s maybe the most classic old school St Jo since Trollat. And way better.

@Lyle Fass Love this producer. Obscenely underpriced and that is not something I can say often enough.

Domaine Pignard Beaujolais Gamay 2020

Medium ruby in color; cherry jolly ranchers, violets, and something fruity or floral I can't quite place; high acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like pomegranates, bananas, and clay pots with a long finish. Nellie doesn't like it, but think she's just not a fan of gamay. I like it and so does Bri. Bri says it smells like Swedish Fish. — 6 months ago
