The 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is such a unique wine. Bright floral aromatics and lively acids make a strong opening statement. Pomegranate, blood orange, raspberry jam, slate, crushed rocks and clean mineral notes all drive through this heady, explosive Syrah. This is a magical wine from Joey Tensley. Deep inky purple and not a trace of brick. Heavy tar and jam (not off-putting) on the nose and not surprisingly a bit of alcohol. Delicious balance of jaminess and ripe black fruit. Enjoy in next couple years though to taste the fruit. Drinking with berebere chicken and rice. — 3 years ago
