2024/1 with garbure. Starts off quite dark and a bit inexpressive, with dense tannin, some oak and a twist of bitterness - but a couple of days later it really opened to reveal some lovely dark fruit, underbrush and a hint of game. — 3 months ago

QPR champ #morgon #grandcras from J.M. Dupré - my second bottle this year. Notes remain the same as previous review in July, repeat impression is of nice balance of red/black fruit and savory notes. Noticing a lovely palate texture that was less obvious last time; slight peppery prickle on the tip of the tongue that fades away after airing out in the glass. This is one of the best food pairing wines that I’ve tasted recently, matched up beautifully to pork carnitas & beef sirloin tacos (no spicy salsa.) Great juice for ~$12 a bottle at #costco . — 2 years ago
Tasted blind. My guesses were around Fedellos do Couto and Matassa, but with influence from Sextant. Entry-level funky-style wine. Slightly restrained and simple in the nose with notes of sweet cherry, cranberry and spoiled jam. But it pays well in the taste. Fizzy at the beginning, salty with flavours of spoiled strawberry-cranberry jam but with the right volume and evolution based on jamminess. I would take it on a picnic, chill a little bit, and then chill together with a bottle or two of this wine. — 2 years ago
