Born from stone, cloaked in elegance.

fortunately recently found a small supply for $55/b, less than release price, and it’s even more delicious due to that price. Just scrumptious crunchy bright yellow orchard fruit and citrus, not at all oxidative or yeasty, just lovely, fresh, and delicious. This is real bright and fresh. The 2011 wasn’t at this level, 96 was/is stupendous, and I’m hooked. I don’t know who Angeline is but I love her very much. — 3 years ago
At Vientiane Café with crew 6-19-24 and what a terrific wine for the food. Amarone from Pino just so a couple dishes but this worked all around. Leftover lasted days. Classic straw minerals acidic backbone and long finish. — 4 months ago
Exquisite. Quince and honeysuckle. Paired exquisite with gruyere fritters. — 3 years ago
From Domestique 2014 on 5/2/20. Dry, no effervescence. — 5 years ago
Compared to the last Becker dry Spatlese tasted, this was less inviting: a bit more mineral & stony, with none of the fruit flavors associated with Riesling to be found. Very chiseled & imagine needs time in bottle/ long decant. You can still taste the precision though. — 8 months ago
