Vibrant, limpid, ruby. Initial nose of cranberry, bitter raspberry pip, irony mineral tones, tea roses. With air gains a pomegranate and slight beety note as well as some petrichor. Energetic palate with lively acidity. A good foil to salmon cakes with homemade tarragon mayo and Yukon golds persillade. — 6 years ago
There is an irony thing in the nose along with violet and rose petals and cherry and a bit of black pepper. This is the nose I fell in love with 10 years ago. The palate is very well designed with a strong acid backbone, a very nice round and radiating fruit, a bit of a sweet touch, some nice oily, scratchy tannins which kick things up for a rather long finish with that fruit, pepper and a long lasting floral aftertaste. So great. This is 7 Euro when you buy it from the winery directly and it's 15 kilometers from where I am right now 😍 — 6 years ago
2010 vintage on 31st jan 2020 — 6 years ago
Black currant, red forest fruits, licorice, irony wet and heavy soil. The palate is well done with a strong acid backbone, some black currant on the sides, some nice velvetty touch on the sides. This is not very wide nor very powerful but it rolls in the mouth. The tannins are fully integrated now and leave room for a tanguy, fruity finish with a pinch of bitterness. This is simple and well done but I expected a bit more structure and power considering the vintage. — 6 years ago
Mid weight with ripe, juicy cherries and pomegranate, some earthy undertones and an uplifting mineral irony note. On the palate very juicy, with great balance and smooth tannins. Juicy cherries till the end. Drinking very nicely right now. — 8 years ago
No notes and biased review, of course. Superb pairing with beef, duck breast, chicken thigh and chorizo, and lamb kebabs made on the grill by yours truly.
Blackberry, black cherry, a bit of an irony touch, some black pepper. The palate is a model of balance with a peppery, cherry and irony touch, some light tannins and a super long finish with fruit and that nice nouthfeel that coats the entire mouth. This is a banger and for 10 EUR at the winery an absolute steal, once again. — a year ago
Black pepper, an irony thing, fresh blackberries, a touch of vanilla. This is very good. The palate is well crafted : there is a great acid drive and there is matter on the side, a nice thickness and some grip, a beautiful blackberry fruit all along, some tannins kick things up in the middle. Theid palate is spherical and there is sweetness to it but then the finish starts and it's very dry, and a bit of salt and bitterness pop up in the rear. That's a great young tempranillo. I'd say one of the best I've had recently! — 6 years ago
First vintage bottled by Majella says that back label. Great flavor and depth.
Earthy, irony, meaty, tobacco leaves, black pepper, potpourri and coriander.
Smooth, but not long.

Again a nice 1991 from a producer that had not expectations at that time. — 6 years ago
Is there any better fix to feel like home when you live abroad?
Cherry and cola bomb on the nose along with earthy and irony notes. The palate is a wonderful example of balance with a dense matter, with a kind of thickness to it, some velvety touch on the sides and a bright, ripe cherry all along. Very long finish with cherry and this irony note which plays for a while.
This is, as always, a freaking hit! — 7 years ago
Not too fruity but slight flavors of cherry and lots of oak — 7 years ago
As others have mentioned, very close to a good Beaujolais. A bit more irony and meaty than fruit forward but tart cranberry certainly there. Herbs too. — 3 years ago
Having a bit of a Tolpuddle time......have had worse weekends.....! If I have miscued on the irony these are very good wines! Pale Lemon in colour. Nutty almond and grapefruit notes with white citrus flowers with some funk - lees stirring? Light to medium weight palate with medium acid. Could go a couple more years if desired. This is a great example of cool climate Tasmanian Chardonnay. More Chablis than Meursault in style. The following day a little more tart. Tasted again 46 weeks later in Toowoomba on 21st January 2022 with consistent notes. Leesy funk. Citrus: Orange and Lime. Excellent. I will have the last one in at least a year’s time. — 5 years ago

This wine is electric! From the first waft on the nose to the splash on the palate, this wine is one of those I like to call “shiny.” It makes the insides of your nostrils tingle, the acid glands in the soft spots in the cheeks of your mouth sing, and the tips of your ears dance. It feels and smells irony like wet copper pennies and the texture is sheer as fine crystal. Bright fresh lemons yet some butterscotch warmth detected on the nose. High citric acid lights up the mouth with liquid lightening. Open for summer in your glass! — 6 years ago
Superb nose with tar, meat juice, black currant, an irony thing. This is inviting and strong, very inviting. The palate is wonderful! Super acid backbone with a bright black currant all along, a velvety touch on the sides that remains all along, tannins have already started to integrate. There is width, there is length, there is fruit, there is grip. The finish lasts for a long time with a nice fruit, some meat juice too and a pinch of bitterness. V

Sensuous with a bit of irony at the front. Smooth and quite delicious feedbag of fruit at the end (Costco special didn’t disappoint) — 7 months ago
