Whoaaaaa '05 Bordeaux. '04 vintage was beautifully funky. Austere and difficult for some, but I loved it. This is much more complex. A little brett, dusty tannins, heavy spice, and a very dirty nose. Terrific now, but I would love to have 1 a year for the next 10 to see how it's doing.

Blackberries, meaty, leather, tobacco, licorice. Well intergrated tannins and a very welcome bitterness on the long finish.

2024/2. Still surprisingly dark and tight, mostly primary in the aromas and with plenty of dark tannin and a slightly bitter twist to the finish, but with a few hours, the nose becomes more expressive (if still primary)…it feels like it has a good while yet to go, but is still enjoyable now

We tried but this wine did not meet us halfway.

Maybe it wasn't treated well at the grocery store or somewhere between the winery and our kitchen.

Black currant, red forest fruits, licorice, irony wet and heavy soil. The palate is well done with a strong acid backbone, some black currant on the sides, some nice velvetty touch on the sides. This is not very wide nor very powerful but it rolls in the mouth. The tannins are fully integrated now and leave room for a tanguy, fruity finish with a pinch of bitterness. This is simple and well done but I expected a bit more structure and power considering the vintage.

Sawdust and old chalkboard on the nose. Light and subtle with the first taste then builds through the middle that is bold, but without the fresh fruit notes from new world wines. The finish has a distinct minerality that accents the age of the wine.
