Light lemon in color with a golden tint.
Fruity nose with limes, lemons, citrus, spices and minerals.
Medium plus in body with high acidity.
Dry to off dry on the palate with citrus, spices, honey, red apples, light diesel, minerals, white pepper, light tropical fruits and pineapples.
Long tangy finish with limes and honey.
This is a delicious Riesling from New York State. Good by itself as a sipping wine. Tasty and spicy. Interesting and engaging.
The bright acidity is nicely balanced with the excess sugar. I liked the palate better than the nose.
This 5 year old is drinking very nicely, now and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.
A good food wine that will pair very nicely with spicy Thai food.
A small production of only 340 cases made. Less than 1% residual sugar.
11.9% alcohol by volume.

After three unsuccessful Piemontese pulls to go with my Piemontese dish, I finally decided that the wine pairing gods were sending me a signal, so like Justice William O. Douglas, I went west, [not so] young man. And this Grenache-based blend was very nice. Nose had warm, mossy stones, warm kirsch, roasted herbs and campfire. Mouthfilling fruit on entry, but very quickly turns savory and minerally. A bit more tannic than previous vintages I’ve had of this wine. — 3 days ago
v13. Classic... bold creme brûlée nose. Rich, round, baked yellow apple and honeysuckle fruit. Smooth, long, yeasty, oak finish. Good food wine , but a better “kickback” wine.. — 11 days ago
Distiller notes It's hard to believe, but yes, this is a sherry oak cask rested vodka. And it tastes just like you'd expect it to. Rich Olorosso and very well made vodka combine remarkably well. This begins as Source One's excellent estate made oat vodka and is then rested for 20-30 days in wet Spanish Olorosso casks. It picks up a ridiculous amount of color and flavor in that time and the rich texture of the vodka carries it perfectly. — 10 days ago
It’s time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a nice one from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Nice nose wild flowers, blueberries, black cherries, light wood, licorice, spices, bitter herbs, chocolates, tobacco leaf and peppercorn.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cooked strawberries, black currants, sweet cherries, licorice, spices, light vanilla, cedar, leather, earth, peppercorn, herbs, red chili powder and light vegetables.
Nice length on the finish with soft tannins and raspberries.
This is a very tasty Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend from the great 2015 vintage in Napa Valley. Nicely balanced with a great nose.
Showing nice complexity at this point. Elegant, spicy and soft.
Good by itself and good right out of the bottle. After 2.5 hours in the decanter, tannins and structure show up together with lots of spices. Worth the wait.
A blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petite Sirah. A small production of only 214 cases. Aged for 29 months in French Oak barrels (80% new).
14.2% alcohol by Volume.
