Pure perfection, the 1989 Château La Mission Haut Brion is at eye level with the glorious 1989 Château Haut Brion from across the street, but much wilder and rustic in character. Deep garnet coloured, the nose explodes with intense aromas of scorched earth, leather, liquorice, tobacco, charred wood, blueberry and blackberry jam, black currant, mushrooms and graphite.
