Lovely and ripe on the nose with really punchy plum and pepper. On the palate a bit hot and short compared to the others alongside

Nose of black tea, portobello, baked plum and soft, unctuous cherry. Kirsch-chocolate, blood orange, French roast, marigold, ferromagnesian elements. Coffee, baking chocolate, black cherry skin, cigar smoke, venison jerky, char, cassis, and vine charcoal.

After a day of great whites need a little a little run by little I mean at 375 of Hône

Youthful and meaty and still vibrant despite the 30 year age! Delish. Acidity that still thrives and competes with wines of youth.

2003. This vintage was really warm and it shows here. Fruit is pretty much gone or cooked. Still pretty rustic and earthy notes, but died pretty quick with air.

Love ChP when it’s got some age on it. (1998) Totally different beast and this was spicy velvet.

A bit old. But elegant. Grippy.

Overly stewed fruit rendered this wine almost undrinkable to my palate. Tasted at a wonderful IFWS dinner at the Leela in Mumbai
