Pale pale lemon with pronounced aromas of citrus (grapefruit, tangerine) thiols. Some green fruit (Green Apple, kiwi) and herbaceous hints (green pepper). Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body and medium finish. #riesling #newzealand #marlborough — 11 days ago
Excellent Chardonnay, beautiful nougat and white peach on the nose, rich palate but understated, structure and length round it off beautifully — 14 days ago
I was ready to pour it down the drain and.... JJJJJJJJJJJJJ!!!!!!!!!!!! That Hunter semillon had done it again.
Late released in 1998, 10% in alcohol, this wine is in such balance. Showing honeyed character, lime jelly, angled onion(or lemon grass if you prefer..i just picked some angled onion weeds in the backyard for my salad😬),marzipan, dried apricot, gingerbread, hay, lanolin and such a freshness that drives me nut. Have I been lucky? I start to think perhaps not. — a month ago
It starts sweet like almonds, marzipan or even lemon or passionfruit meringue, but then the freshness makes it close extremely dry like a dry sherry. Hunter semillon in that magic spot, even though there isn't too much complexity i must admit there is somehow a kind of balance.
Mind this is the third bottle of it I open and this has been the best one and still this wine might be past its peak in a week, it's hanging tight on to its decadent beauty. — 20 days ago
Wow, this thing is awesome. Regarding the price, two thumbs up!! — 20 days ago
Someone needs to correct the name on this app and I can’t ever get anyone to respond, but...this Cab was fantastic and got better after being opened for an hour or two. Dark fruit and good tannins. — 14 days ago
Dense ripe plum and dried plum notes with an overly healthy dose of oak. Medium to full bodied palate. Not your normal Hunter Valley Shiraz - more like a South Australian Shiraz as I’ve mentioned in a previous note. Still retains the Hunter Valley earthiness but not as medium bodied sweaty saddle that Hunter Valley Shiraz should be and was traditionally. Great that Hunter Valley producers have returned to the old medium bodied savoury styles which shone in 2014 and 2017. — a month ago
Big bruising style of pinot. Dark cherry, plum, and earthy notes on the nose. Palate is med/full bodied with power and weight. A cab shiraz in pinot clothing. Very good though. — 18 days ago
