Inky in color, jammy, big, plums, light no tannins. Not balanced but big. Steak tasting night at home — 3 months ago
Very good. Had at home. — 8 months ago
Deep dark stewed berry, dark chocolate, licorice, tiny hint of anise on the finish. Speaking of the finish - it lasts forever. This is a big wine - it needs to sit in the glass for at least four hours before touching it. It will probably be better on day 2. — 10 months ago
Terrific red wine from the La Clarine Estate vineyard, reminds me a little of Domaine de Trevallon (Cab and Syrah, though here other grapes as well), big and rich still, showing just a tad of mature notes, long, persistent finish, hides its 14.5% ABV well, kudos to Hank!! — 2 months ago
Rich and luscious - ripe red and black fruits. It’s a funny thing how full bodied this wine is which comes from one of the most southerly (cold) vineyards (Huon Valley Tasmania) in Australia. We visited there a few years ago and had lunch. Medium to full bodied with sweet black cherry flavours but I might have gotten the Food/wine match wrong - too floral and pretty perhaps to go with venison. I should have chosen Syrah or a GSM - an excellent wine nevertheless. — 6 months ago

No decanter or nothing for this one I’m just raw dogging it the way it was meant to be.
The nose is so much cherry very bold with a touch of earthiness. I could live in this glass forever just smelling it and be happy.
The palate is powerful and grips like crazy. It has an acidity to it that’s lasts forever. More cherry with cranberry and it has this nice juiciness to it that makes your mouth water after each sip and the finish seems to go on forever. I think I want to marry this wine.
After the wine had been open for a while it developed a black licorice note on the nose and I just can’t get enough of this one. — 10 months ago
Cracked into a bottle from last visit to Napa. I am such a fan off all the Gamble family wines. Such a smooth bottle with a fantastic oaky finish. Tastes even better once it’s breathed a little. Serve me a bottle of this before I die and I’ll die with a smile on my face. — 2 months ago
Here’s the thing: this is good wine. It’s dense, chewy, and structured. There’s a nice balance of red and black fruit, graphite, cedar, mushroom, soil, and just a touch of Brett funk. It’s fairly tannic, so probably best with food, but can still be enjoyed on its own. I would never be mad if I was offered this. I was lucky to take home an open bottle from a job tonight, but I think the price tag on this is ridiculous. — 9 months ago

In a great spot. Tannins resolving and fruit still strong. With Jo-Jo and family. — 11 days ago
