Another excellent vintage. Teinturier Alicante Bouchet Grape. Deep ruby color. Big aromas and flavors of red/black berry/cherry fruit. Hints of violets and brambly forrest Floor. Oak is well integrated. Nice powerful structure but the tannins are quite silky. Consistently great-Vintage after vintage. — 5 years ago

Lovely! Dry, super light, a touch bitter on the end palate, big pear, big leaf smell. I'm not so good at tasting notes yet, but you know when you rub an oak leaf between your fingers? Yeah, that. Very drinkable, and light. — 9 years ago

Strong but well balanced with just the right touch of oak. Fruit forward with anise on the finish. — 8 months ago
Fresh & tart with juicy ripe lemons, dried herbs and a bit of green melon.
Bright acidity, nice poise and great flow.
Highly food friendly with the salty finish, can come across a bit astringent/ slightly bitter when solo. But with food it sings. And disappears dangerously fast! — a year ago
New project from luis duarte an expert in alentejo. Arinto elevated and fermented in concrete. Really lovely lemon curd, wet stone and mouth watering finish. — 5 years ago
Very nice, full bodied and smooth. — 8 years ago

Много темных ягод, специи, лаврушка. Насыщенно и немного грубовато. Мягкие танины, высокая кислотность. — 8 years ago
Octavio bought this for me at Portuguese customs and boy was it fantastic! Ad it opened up it expressed ruby port like qualities. Spicier earlier on. — 10 years ago

@Delectable Wine this is the red Concrete Alfrocheiro
Having tasted the whole range at the winery, this is the best of Heredade dos Grous.
100% Alfrocheiro, fermented and aged in a concrete sphere for 12 months.
Quite shy on the nose, with some dusty cherry and fresh raspberry plus a bit of earthy notes. Quite fresh and with nice purity.
Juicy on the palate, mid weight with really lovey tannins - present but meaty & juicy, not fully polished and yet pleasantly smooth. That paired with putty of red fruit and juicy acidity gives a really nice, highly drinkable wine with some depth.
Quite delish, I must say. — 3 months ago
