The final wine at the Dom Perignon dinner last Friday night except for a little glass of Hennessy Cognac where I forgot to make notes. The same lovely Salmon/Pink as the 2005. This was more immediately loveable than the 2005 with delicious red fruits - warm and fleshy - sunshine in a glass. An absolute crowd pleaser but shorter term than the 2005. — 3 years ago
Pepper, orange, a hint of cinnamon. So smooth. Outstanding in every way! — 4 years ago
The smallest bottle of Moët we have ever consumed. This was 200ml. A gift from an 85 year old aunt and consumed last night on Valentines Day. Amazing consistency for the amount that M-Hennessy produce. A crowd pleasing sweet nuance amongst the citrus and fine mousse. — 2 years ago
At the Dom Perignon dinner last Friday night. This was definitely the Star of the Show. David Cross from Moët Hennessy who presented on the night and has tasted many great Champagnes in his 30 year career said this was in the top 3 Champagnes he had ever tasted. He also represents Krug. In a word this was stunning!! The essence of the Plenitude programme - Complexity with Freshness. Disgorged 18 months ago. Touches of sea spray, biscuit, beeswax and mineral. Poised and refined. Just gorgeous - had to buy a bottle. — 3 years ago

At the Dom Perignon dinner last Friday night. David Cross from Moët Hennessy who presented on the night said that this was the first showing of the 2012 in Australia. More intensity and power than the 2010. David thought the 2012 will be the better wine (a definite future P2 star) but the 2010 the better wine to drink now. Almost like a very good white burgundy with a little bubble. — 3 years ago
Was a wine club member here for a few years and very much enjoyed the entire portfolio. Stunning winery up Conn Creek Rd just south east of Lake Hennessy. Wonderful people too.
I always found the mountain proprietary blend more accessible at a young age compared to their cab reserve. At 7ys young, and even for the big and structured vintage of 2013, this was very enjoyable close to pop and pour. Brilliant color of purple in the glass offering up aromatics of baked mixed berry pie, fresh potpourri, cedar, espresso, and baking spices like cinnamon and vanilla. While extracted and rich on the palate, it has plenty of tannin to keep things balanced. Red, blue and black fruits accompanied by sandalwood, grilled violets, decadent dark cocoa and dusty character toward the finish. — 4 years ago

Wine not tasting - this has a nice depth and was aged in a Hennessy barrel. The grape are from the south - smells earthier than it tasted — a year ago
