Cedar, pencil shavings, currants, some pyrazines. Classic Bordeaux. Really needs bottle age. — 2 days ago
1 hour decant (fine/cloudy sediment). A 3rd growth that has gotten better since Caroline Frey took control in 2004. A forbidding inky dark reddish purple. On the nose: some funk that blows off, currant, smoke, minerals, blackberry, and graphite. Taste: creamy, smooth medium plus body wine...Lacks the depth of a great vintage, but goes down fine and easy with dark cherry, cedar, dusty tobacco, currants, little metallic, and some smoked herbs — 15 days ago
One of many Cru Bourgeois from Haut-Medoc. I do believe they are “leading the pack” among Bordeaux appellations. — 10 days ago
Un autre excellent cru du haut-medoc. Fruits foncés, graphite, boite à cigare, bien structuré, bonne acidité, les tannins sont bien présent mais sans que cela n’accroche, encore un potentiel de tenir la route. — a month ago

Ready to drink just after opening but improves immensely after a few hours of decant.
Fresh black currants & pencil shavings with a savoury green pepper note. So fresh on the palate, with a wonderful presence on the mid palate and very fine, dusty & juicy tannins. Fantastic drinkability. This is in a very fine moment right now - so delicious! — 9 days ago
