Harlan Est

Harlan Estate

The Maiden Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

#AgedWineTuesday

Inky in color with a short purple rim.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Showing blackberries, cooked cherries, dried fruits, cedar, vanilla, Mediterranean spices, tobacco leaf, light earth, herbs, chocolates and black pepper.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This 15 year old still feels young, but drinking beautifully now. Nicely balanced and powerful, yet elegant.

Needed 5 hours to open up properly, but was good right out of the bottle too.

Rich and extracted. Fruit forward with nice complexity. Showing a great experience at this point.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

94 points.

2022 vintage. Smooth with medium-heavy body and a thorough finish. A fave CDR producer. 01.09.25. — 4 months ago

Maybe a bit too old but nevertheless a delicious experience - caramelised notes, dried cherry, figs, spices and vanilla. Smooth and full bodied albeit lacking some acidity. Finish filled with dried mushrooms and chicken stock — 5 months ago

The young vines of a mix of Harlan properties. Good, but not compelling at the price point.

2019 is the best Mascot I've had going back to 2010.

15 years barely put a dent in her. Feels like it could age another 50 years with ease — 4 months ago

Oakville Red Blend 2006

Really excellent- huge wine with plenty of black fruit and layers of flavor. Long finish. Compared to the Palmer, it was lacking a bit of complexity and I usually prefer Harlan. Kayla 94 — 6 months ago
