Paleokerisio Traditional Semi-sparkling Ioannina Orange 2019

ESF
8.9

Really wild stuff here: not really an orange wine per se: more Rose’ colored and smelled like a Lambic w/out the sweetness. Had some spritzy effervescence and great juiciness. The nose was all over the place - intriguing & interesting, you’re sitting there trying to figure out what the hell is going on… dry finish begs for another sip. For $10, why not?! — 3 days ago

Single Vineyard Malagousia 2019

Expressive notes of yellow floral notes, yellow apricot, and peach. Bright acidity with hint of minerality. Similar to Viognier in terms of smell and on the palate without too much malo and no bitterness at the end. — 11 days ago

Oreads Dry Black Muscat of Tyrnavos Rosé 2020

If you come across this wine, snap it up! My new favorite rose´! So much to unpack...nose is earthy and musty like your favorite old leather bound book. Then a mouth full of flavor- apricot, floral, salt...and it lingers and lingers. Love it! — 15 days ago

Vinsanto Santorini Assyrtiko 2006

My first Assyrtiko Vinsanto. What a pleasant surprise! Structure of a PX, but with fantastic acidity. Tastes like a PX/Madeira love child 😀. — 13 days ago

Single Vineyard Xinomavro 2012

Now we’re cookin. This wine has taken a long time to come around. Note to self, wait 10 years before opening the first bottle in a case of these… still pretty tannic, prominent on the tongue but not so grippy around the rest of the mouth as before. Spice and cigar box box flavours mixed with earth and tart forest berries, though fruit fairly restrained. Must try and save one of these to try in another 10 years. And one more to try 10 years after that. — 6 days ago
