Well the 40 is a good substitute, but doubled in price unfortunately

Well maybe not you, but I told someone 🤔A gift from Leif Hammarstrom from quite a few years ago, one of my favorite offerings from Glenmorangie. A stronger sherry character to the nose than I typically find for Glenmorangie, this is an interesting single malt. Doesn’t measure up to my ATF Glenfarclas...but it’s pretty damn good! — 9 years ago
Nice entry-level single malt from my favorite distillery, Glenfarclas. I actually like this a bit better than the 25 (which is weird, I know: I think that's more a function of the particular incarnation of the 25 I currently have). Terrible at identifying aromas in scotch, but there's a great smokiness coupled with a subtle nutty character along with a hint of vanilla. A little astringent - should probably be cut with a few drops of water - but otherwise a terrific scotch for the money. — 9 years ago

I like the nose. Light on the wood, more on honey, rich but not sweet. The palate runs hot to me, like really hot and spicy. All on the back/mid of the tongue and it lingers. So the finish goes for a while. Interesting but not a great dram imho — 10 months ago
