Giordano Piemonte Rosso 2017
Appearance: Medium bodied Barbera inky ruby hue
Nose: Vanilla, licorice and pepper.
Notes: Blackberry, mulberry, black cherry and subtle thyme
Impression: Finely grained tannins and spicy finish. Yet another delicious Italian wine. — 2 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the Giordano Riserva Barolo.
This was a perfect pairing with our pappardelle with black truffle, parmesan, olive oil and a touch of brown butter. After several hrs open, together it almost tasted like foie gras. On the nose: smoky soy, blackberry and roast orange. On the palate: fantastic acidity and density, but soft on the finish. I could describe this more (very complex), but this was one of the best barolos I've had in my life... — a year ago

I wanted another few hours with this one - candied berry nose. Powdery unresolved tannin. Lime peel. Round warming spice. — 13 days ago
