This 7-year-old Washington Cabernet Sauvignon is still drinking beautifully.

Fine grained tannins on the tangy finish.

Quilceda Creek

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

2021 vintage. Tasted via Coravin. So. Much. Sweet. Oak. Much less concentration, mineral influence and grip than expected/recalled from previous vintages. Granted, tasting this 15 years too youthfully but, still, underwhelming. Honestly, a total waste of my time. Hurtz to say that as I consider this as one of, if not THE, best WA wine made. Just never rocked the boat, in a positive way, in any aspect. Would get totally blown out in a blind CA/WA/BDX Cab/Cab blend tasting in the $40-$50 range. Unimpressive. 5.29.24. — a month ago

I opened a 2000 a year or two ago and thought “this is too young”…the oak still so pronounced.

PnP. Dark red/maroon color. Cigarettes, BBQ, and incense on the nose. Similar on the palate. Fairly big wine. Not my style, but I’m sure others may love this. — 11 days ago

Solid choice for easy drinking. Not too bitter and not too sweet for me. — 5 days ago

Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Deep purple color. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, vanilla, oak and licorice. Strong body on this wine, great black and blue fruit with oak on the finish. — 12 days ago

Quilceda Creek

Washington Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Excellent wine but comes in 2nd in the night of our 2010 Cabernet showdown. 90 min decant and the wine was very good but was missing some of the dark fruits that make this wine pop. Paired very well with the steak — a month ago
