$75 bought at Vineyard. Absolutely delicious. Perfect songs and flavors. Smooth, long lasting finish — 2 years ago
Classy stuff! Bone dry, reticent aroma, but med-full bodied texture and long, raspy, lingering finish. Reminds me of high end Alsatian Pinot Blanc and perfect foil for French/Viet Namese Fusion. Such a pure pleasure. Willamette whites are coming into their own and really rock in’! — 6 years ago
Phenomenal wine even before you realize this is crafted from the oldest Syrah/Shiraz vineyard in the world. Intense in flavor, in spice and in vibrancy. A complex wine that is trying to tell you the 180 year history that is has experienced. Planted less than 20 years after Napoleon died. Want it hear the story behind this wine? My first wine I’ve ever tasted from Moldova. Jancis Robinson reviewed it in Financial Times January 27 2023. Tasting and decanting now… purple, very good clarity. Aromas of leather (wood) and strawberry, flavors of strawberry and cherry with wood, light to moderate seed and skin tannins on finish. Light bodied but solid tannin structure. Needs at least 60 minutes to decant. 24 hours later, tasting really well, some real character. A worthy red table wine — 3 years ago
Pomegranate, granite, raspberries — 5 years ago
Vivid straw. Mineral-tinged nectarine, tangelo and pungent flowers on the highly perfumed nose. Silky, tightly focused and energetic on the palate, offering juicy citrus and pit fruit and honeysuckle flavors complemented by suggestions of saffron and sweet butter. Shows excellent depth and clarity and finishes minerally and very long, leaving floral and mineral notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2020)

At Jack Fry’s in Louisville, challenged to pair wine with salmon, pork, and gnocchi. This worked well. “Soft” according to one friend. — 2 months ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and nutty scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach, pineapple and lemon citrus, cinnamon notes, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with oak, vanilla, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A beautiful Chardonnay. — 5 months ago
I strongly dislike Rosé and I LOVE this wine! — 2 years ago
One of my all-time faves. One of the few with tannins that I actually like! It has just enough leathery moth feel to make it a great spaghetti wine! — 4 years ago
Galentines day stuck in a hotel during an ice storm in austin texas. Rich flavor, would drink again. — 5 years ago
Kicking into a long weekend to celebrate our Country 🇺🇲 and those who have worked to give me the freedom to enjoy this beautiful wine.
Nose has under-ripe peach, lime peel, limestone paste, lemon pith and faint, green herbs.
Palate has day old cut lemon, warmed peach, wet limestone, dried lemon pith, minor tart acidity with a medium finish.
I still think this bottle is looking for more development. Our last check-in was two years ago, doing well then, about the same tonight.
(Note to future self, decant for 2-3h, the wine is coiled, better with air/patience.)
24 Hour Update: Adding a warmed lemon trait on the nose and palate, but palate picks up a pleasing light sweetness on the finish today. Improvement. — 6 years ago

Initially a bit closed, after two hours in the decanter this really opens up. Black cherry and sage come through on the nose and continue onto the palate with additional notes of cassis, bay leaf, and cloves. Has a persistent finish with herbs, spice, and black tea lingering on the palate. The herbal and spice flavors were really vibrant when paired with basil pesto pasta and mushrooms. Medium+ acidity, medium+ body, and medium tannins. This is the 2021 vintage. — 2 months ago
