I haven’t had a lot of aged Chablis, but this is drinking remarkably well for being 13 years old. Austere; high acid but with some weight to it. Flint and lemon peel but I would wager this saw at least some oak as there is definitely a little butterscotch in the background both in the nose and palate. Drinks like a lighter more restrained Montrachet. — 4 months ago
Fantastic wine. On the nose an intense mixture of floral, stone fruit, raspberries, lemon oil, some flint - so much power. Concentration of a grand cru white burgundy. I would say hold for some time to let this develop further. Amazing wine in the making. Precise, powerful. — 3 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2019 “Les Romains” pours a bright, pale yellow color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of bright, tropical and citrus, fruits: grapefruit, starfruit, lemon; a touch grassy with fresh herbs and a whole lot of flint. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is long and a touch creamy. This bottle was absolutely bangin’! Drink now through 2029. — 2 months ago
Ridiculously amazing. One of the top charddies the Aussies have produced. Burgundian in style but so young yet so expressive. Noses flint, lemon peel and oak. Lemon curd, spice and nutty on palate. Bloody A, mate! — 6 months ago
Vintage 2004 | beautiful smell with flint, cedar, Scottish pipe tobacco and velvety taste. No need to keep this, for lovers of ripened wine, beautiful tertiary tones. Paired with horse fillet, polenta with porcini mushrooms, broccoli, bell pepper and yellow courgette. — 2 years ago
This is the Pascale Matrot not the Pierre Matrot Charmes Meursault. I have previous notes here on both Cuvées. A strange charcoal note initially which wasn’t there on the 2nd day. Pale to mid yellow in colour Flint and citrus with yellow orchard fruits developing. River stones. Very mineral together with pear on the medium weight palate. An excellent Premier Cru Meursault from a great vintage for White Burgundy. — 3 years ago
A portrait in elegance. Initially the nose is shy, but unfurls into a full range of lemon, from underripe to meyer lemon; yellow flowers, lilies etc, a slight amount of flint minerality, lemon custard, hint of fresh almond. On the palate reminiscent of a delicious lemon custard accented with a touch of vanilla, fresh acidity, great texture, good length. What a great wine. My first from Brisset and I must say I am impressed. @Lyle Fass — 3 months ago

Using a library photo from Delectable. The vintage I had was 2014 which was a brilliant White Burgundy vintage. The nose showing struck match sulphides - also mineral with flint. Notes of fresh herbs with white flowers. Palate is restrained but very precise. The first white from the Burgundy dinner in Sydney on August 7. Just catching up with notes now. The food match with steamed Murray Cod was superb. — 25 days ago
