2021. Had on day 1 and day 3 after opening with two different baked fish dishes. Tonight’s spicy mustard-ginger glazed salmon and charred Brussels sprouts turned out to be a great pairing for this aromatic field blend. — a year ago
Pretty unusual blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Nero d’Avola from different vineyards in Mendocino County. Fermented separately and then aged in barrel for 6 months. Beautiful, complex nose with notes of red and dark fruit. Cherry cola, cinnamon and some smoky notes. Fresh, medium-bodied. Tart red fruit, some blood orange. Great acidity. Fun, very enjoyable — 4 years ago
What a nose. Spice, cocoa, earth and very complex. Cherries as well. Super expansive. Leather and wood shavings. Cherry liquer. Wow. Stunning aromas. Palate has energy and purity for days plus awesome sappy texture and grippy but sweet tannins and wonderful sappy cherries. Good freshness and texture and very nimble. This has serious structure and will age very very well. — 4 years ago
A wine as bubbly as it’s label. It’s the friend that puts you in a good mood simply because you’re going to hang out, and you haven’t even met up yet.
Low alcohol and easy to sip or chug, no party fouls included. It’s not low on flavor—pineapple and juicy Granny Smith, a little bit of butter bread, and some Haribo peachy-o-yeses. Don’t let the sweet scare you, let it warm up a little bit from its chill chill mega chill and it smooths out like a summer sunset. — 5 years ago
Good, solid - but the other red is better for a better price. Would drink again! — 5 years ago
Dirty, old, red, light, woody. Not heavy. — 7 months ago
Green apple, flowers, honey. Not great value for me. — 4 years ago
I’m not a “natural wine” devotee necessarily, but I am a Martha devotee.
Out to The Meadow is almost always one of my favorites in her line up. Chenin driven, this wine shows the variety’s funkier side on the nose (honeysuckle, wet wool, hay, gray stones). On the palate, it balances sweet (honey, honeysuckle) and sour (incredible tart, barely ripe green apple, white nectarine); fruity, vegetal and just the right amount of bitter (at least for those of us with an bias towards Italian whites) with Vermentino’s unmistakable salty fennel/herbal/grapefruit pith on the finish. Have no idea what “green hungarian” and “chasselas doré” add to the blend, but I trust the master and her modern interpretation of what a century old California field blend would have looked and tasted like. — 4 years ago

Wet wool? Living by the beach my wool suits get that funk, not sure I want that smell when I open a bottle 🤷🏼♂️🫣
Funky, fizzy Gamay-like blend. Light and refreshing at 11% — a year ago

2022. This is now designated as Bricarelli Ranch. I’ve enjoyed all of the vintage and multi-vintage bottles of this wine over the last several years and have been really impressed with how well the delicious fruit flavors have held up. — 3 months ago
