An excellent Pinot Noir with notes of blackberry, minerality, pine, and forest floor. On the bud, it’s enriched with raspberry, black cherry, and stewed fruits. Very smooth with a long finish. — 7 months ago
Full bodied, fruity — 4 years ago
I could drink bottles of this at a time. Cherry juice, versatile, maybe a little spicy? The “other” dankness from Oregon. — 6 years ago
absolute favorite moderately priced easygoing red — 4 months ago
NOSE: muted, red fruit, oaky vanilla, graphite
TASTE: super smooth, the fruit is candied and dried (cherry and maybe some fig?), mild spices and earth and fragrant wood — still enough acidity to keep it balanced. I like more fruit and oomph, but it is good. 92. — 8 months ago
Fig and plum, pinch of raisin. Silky texture, some forest and baking spice. Magnum — 4 years ago
Peach, mango, full body balanced by bright acidity. Not a lot getting in the way here. — 4 years ago
Wednesday Wine Committee. Great hosting by Gavin. 1 sparkler, 4 whites, 4 reds and 2 dessert wines. All served blind as usual.
Roasted chestnuts, cinnamon, old raspberry fig and a surprising amount of heat on the nose and palate. Shocked the alcohol is that prevalent at this age! Mellowed a bit slightly in the glass, and the added notes of graham cracker and potpourri became noticeable. I called this 40yr port. — 7 years ago

Founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley, with caves that extend for over a mile. Pale lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruit, sweet oak, spice and floral scents. On the palate flavors of ripe peach, melon and apple, with vanilla spice, creamy texture. Medium+ finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with mineral notes. — 5 months ago

Excellent wine. Paired well with the elk steak I had with it.

Sipping Fine Wine
Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 2 months ago
