Ferme Des Arnaud

Arnaud Briday

Domaine des Chers Vieilles Vignes Julienas Gamay 2020

Solid Cru Beaujolais. Medium garnet color. Bright aromas of ripe red and black cherries, earth and violets. Expressive flavors of red and black cherry/raspberry/currant fruit, tobacco and a pleasant hint of baking spices. A bit of black pepper and the presence of stemmy carbonic maceration on the very long and tingly finish. Quite juicy and crisp. Fruit forward, nicely structured and pretty well balanced. — 17 days ago

@Tom Casagrande, I always LOVE when you resort to posting “petty” tasting notes, since otherwise I’m always intimidated by your massively detailed, and outstanding, tasting notes (which I prefer, but not trying to be “petty” here)!! 🤷🤷

La Ferme du Mont

Jugunda Gigondas Red Rhone Blend 2018

Very nice Southern Rhône red from Stephane Vedeau, ex-footballer. 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah. 14.5% abv. Bold and big on flavor, but super fresh and precisely balanced. Vibrant red fruit with Mediterranean herbs. Just the right amount of tannins, and a very long finish, ending with dried berries and grass. Really sticks around. I’m surprised the overall Delectable ratings aren’t higher. This is great, and still very affordable for the quality. Paired with Byrd’s Eye View on 180g vinyl (Blue Note Tone Poet repress). — 7 months ago
