No. 5 Zwischen den Seen Trockenbeerenauslese Scheurebe 2013

Candied walnuts, white raisins, orange peel. Just so tasty. Could drink the whole lot but only a tiny touch is really needed to get a sense. Only 9% alcohol. — 5 months ago

Kärcher is a house with lots of nice sweet wines. One of the best in Austria. And their scheurebe is super, and adictive as such.

Tenutæ Lageder Römigberg Alto Adige Kalterersee Classico 2017

This is what Vernatsch is all about!
Light (11.5% alc) and crystal clean yet quite expressive with cherries and plumes and cranberries. There’s also a whiff of lemon peel and a stony, herby undertone.
Crisp & light on the palate and very, very juicy with a pinch of herby spice and a mineral backbone. Despite all it’s lightness this has loads of precision, character & personality. Love it!!

Dolomiti Schiava 2018

Delectable Wine

Lageder’s 2018 Schiava is a drop-dead gorgeous red, with an alluring display of crushed stone, ripe strawberry with green stems, and exotic spice. It’s juicy to the core, with zesty red/ black fruits, complicated by nervous acidity and sour citrus twang that punctuates the finish. $18.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, November 2020) — 5 months ago

Since when have green stems been a positive tasting note? I could ask the same of “sour citrus twang” for a red wine? So basically this is for acid lovers???

We go to Legeders twice a year. The wine is always incredible....but the real treat is to eat out in the garden with everyone... it’s a small town, do your research. They are the real deal in AA. We’ve been living in Italia for 20 years spending a good 4- 6 months there yearly...🇮🇹🍷🇮🇹
