Ma cuisine eternal lunch NYE — 4 years ago
Medium gold in the glass...touch of sulfur or reduction in the nose. Savory rather than fruit... lean and powerful. Long, lively finish showcasing the acidity and blowing by any sense of elegance. Been a year since last drank...still not ready to offer ripeness or pleasure...but hope springs eternal. — 4 years ago

This is amazing - on the nose you get a damp concert barrel room. Deep dark fruit with dark chocolate and big grip with tannins that are semi-eternal. I under rated this last time - this is my wine of the year (so far). No wonder Parker loved this. Cheers — 5 years ago
Nebbiolo in its prime. Just Beautiful - 33 years and going strong. Strawberry balsamic, dried florals, licorice, savoriness but subtle, plenty of acidity with an almost eternal finish. Real contemplative wine. Press 02.28.2023 — 2 years ago
Have not had in 5 years. Young as ever. Eternal. Smells like a 17 or 16. Super slate, Granny Smith apple flesh, woodlands, pine, apple skins, so lean and classic. The slate aromatic expression is wonderful. Awesome texture like icing on a cake and superb balance and freshness. What a finish. The unsung Prüm. Really compelling wine. Best showing ever. Such a huge core of fruit and mineral and the finish! This will last 25+ more year and this is my last bottle. What a great bottle. This is last of 4. I tasted this wine with Bert Selbach at the estate and was floored. Now the estate is sold and doesn’t exist anymore and Bert is retired. He was a great winemaker and if you ever find any of his stuff buy it. His Himmelreich and Domprobst stuff is top class and with age they transform . — 3 years ago

2021 vintage. No 2020 made for obvious reasons and only 90 cases of the 2019 vintage made so realistically not in the marketplace. 2018 (9.6) yielded a whopping 152 cases. 2021 was slightly more prolific but not exactly easy to run into. Same eternal, quiescent pace and style as the 2018. The rare Napa Cab effort inviting conversation versus attempts to dominate/control/stifle it. You can keep all your assorted vintages and producers of Beckstoffer This and Thats. I'll take this, any vintage, over any interpretations/producers of that, any time. And, frankly, once you taste it, you likely will too. @me with your impressions. 01.29.25. — 3 days ago
