Shafer Winemaker Elias Fernandez & his “relentless” pursuit of quality. A blend of 76% Syrah & 24% Petite Sirah, shows a lush & rich wine. Aged for 30 months, 100% new French oak, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruit, smoke and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum & blueberry with notes of vanilla, licorice and smoke. Fine silky tannins, long finish, great mouthfeel ending with fruit, herbs and spice. Hanna Winery was founded in 1985 by Dr. Elias Hanna, a cardiac surgeon, who found a place to continue farming heritage of his upbringing in Syria & in the 70s he purchased 12 acres in the Russian River Valley now 600 acres are run by oldest daughter Christine. Straw color with aromas of stone fruits and citrus notes. Palate shows apple and pear flavors with creamy citrus notes. Medium finish ending with fruit, spice and mineral citrus character.
