A little serious. Some slightly oxidized wide notes and a forest floor gnarliness. Some tang and rich finish. Good stuff but perhaps not a perfect bottle — 4 months ago
Loved this, good tannins, leathery volcanic action but also nice red fruits with a slight funk

The 2020 Nerello Mascalese Pirrera is delicate and coy in the glass, showing just nuances of rose and black cherry contrasted by dusty earth. Silky and refined, it washes across the palate with a pure blend of red and wild blueberry fruit. A mineral staining adds tension toward the close. It finishes structured and long with a citrus concentration to balance as tart raspberry and sage slowly taper off. Patience will be required to tame this structured Etna Rosso. Dulce y suave entrada en paladar. Arropado de aromas de frutos rojos con notas de chocolate. Una delicia para saborear con cualquier plato de carnes, pasta o postres — 3 years ago
