Napa Valley Chardonnay 2021
First time trying this, and we were very impressed. Lots of orchard fruits on the nose, with a hint of baked apples. Very little perceptible wood treat on the nose or palate. It presents crisp on the palate with a nice bright acidity, but has volume and weight. Love the fruit and moderate sweetness. Less malo and nutty notes make this a big hit for us.

Bought on release, $89.95, it’s gorgeous—but so tight at 21 years of age—surprisingly so. Fruit takes a back seat to acidity and structure as well as chalk and minerality. I really like this wine and it will live decades but tonight I’m happily sacrificing a little tooth enamel. — 16 days ago

Medium deep lemon yellow . Quite buttery at first , with some yellow plum , citrus peel , touch of honeysuckle and toasty oak . On the palate quite creamy and rich , but retaining good freshness , lemon pith , touch of caramel , butterscotch on the medium length slightly nutty finish . Balanced acidity with good extract , balanced alcohol . Ok medium length . This is showing a bit of age but it still drinking pretty well . Drink now . — 2 days ago
