2021 vintage was mildly tannic w/ a hot nose, good mouthfeel w/ blackberry/cherry flavors that quickly fade. Very nice! — 5 months ago
So...I had a birthday a couple weeks back.and due to scheduling, my regular bottle finishing team wasn't available until now, so we're finally doing it up in my grand, unique style.
Notes possibly tomorrow, scores honestly tonight.
Decanted 6H.
24-Hour Update:
Nose has crushed bricks, blood orange, ripe cherries, cranberry sauce and wet vines.
Palate has dried cranberry (unsweetened), chalk, orange zest, black currant and dried blackberry.

Dec 2023. Vertical w/ 2010 vintage. Should have tasted this on first! 2010 is outstanding (probably at least partially due to the age) this 2016 is very good. Black fruit, chocolate, tobacco. Classic left bank Bordeaux. Excellent QpR ay $29/bottle. Have several more so can enjoy as it ages. — 3 months ago
A complex Chardonnay from renowned producer Steve Matthiasson. Sourced from Linda Vista vineyard, in the Oak Knoll District, at the southern end of the Napa valley. (Due to its proximity to the San Pablo Bay and the cool winds from the ocean, average summer temperatures are considerably cooler than in the upper valley, making it an ideal area for Chardonnay in Napa). Fermented and aged in neutral oak. Apples, melon, some buttery notes on the nose. Green apple on the palate. Fresh, good acidity. Slightly creamy, rounder and fruitier than the Chablis tasted next to it. Mineral, a hint of salinity
