Black cherries for days within a tobacco/black tea vanilla that has integrated in due time. Dark and deep mountain fruit. It reminds me how much even humble aged Napa can reward.

Lots of fruit left here, great texture and soft but supporting tannins. Comes across more as Amarone, in the best sense of that comparison.

Nice. 2005 wines are tonight’s theme. Works well with Eggplant Parm and lots of talking, which makes me thirsty.
