Tart cherry, hibiscus, spring foliage. Sediment has fallen out nicely. Some rose coming on. Almost brilliant but lots of va. A little bit acetic.

So...I had a birthday a couple weeks back and due to scheduling, my regular bottle finishing team wasn't available until now, so we're finally doing it up in my grand, unique style.

Notes possibly tomorrow, scores honestly tonight.

Decanted 6H.

24-Hour Update:
Nose has mud covered vines, ripe black cherry, under-ripe plum and orange zest.
Palate has ripe/tart cherry, over-ripe raspberry, molasses cookie, pomegranate and lavender.

I’ve had Enderle & Moll Pinot but, not their Rosé. Bought this after seeing @Severn Goodwin post. I like it. It needs to get some air but, more importantly, it needs to cellar for another year or two.

The color is richer - darker...shows more time in contact with skin.

The nose reveals; bubble gum, juicy & candied; strawberries, black cherries, black raspberries, plum, raspberries & cranberry extract. Red liqueured cola, red licorice, herbal notes, limestone minerals, chalkiness, grey volcanics, candle wax, potpourri with candied florals of; dark, red, purple & blue framed in violets & lavender.

The body rich & full with high viscosity. bubble gum, juicy & candied; strawberries, black cherries, black raspberries, plum, raspberries, pomegranate & cranberry extract. Red liqueured cola, mix of red & black licorice, herbal notes, limestone minerals, chalkiness, grey volcanics, dark, rich soil, candle wax, tree sap with bark shavings, mix of dark & white spice (ginger), potpourri with candied, perfumed, florals of; dark, red, purple & blue framed in violets & lavender. The acidity is a picture perfect Hawaii waterfall. The long, rich, lush, well polished & balanced finish is persistent for minutes while falling onto perfect mid spice.

One of the few German producers & regions I trust with this varietal. Climate change will continue to broaden Germany’s scope of good producers with this varietal.

Closed up. After 30 minutes some overripe tart cherry and bruised rose petal aroma emerges. But a little wet cardboard smell throughout. The palate is perfect light pinot noir red- crystalline with ample acidity and all sorts of red berry fruit. But the nose never quite gains dimension- sadly I think the bottle is ever so slightly corked. Unfortunate because all other signs point to this being an insanely good wine.

Words escape me...Notes later, best E&M Rosé to date!

Nose has ripe cranberry, mashed raspberry, blood orange flesh, mashed strawberry, recently cut grass, oak bark and a pint of cherries.

Palate has tart cherry, strawberry, over-ripe raspberry, fresh Clementine peel, (minor) baking spice, cold plum with a long finish. Weighty yet finessed

I can't believe I'm stating this, but I think this wine exceeds the 2017 version, which I thought was bonkers, this is better!

Extremely interesting stuff. Very dark rosé with loads of red snappy fruits. Almost Hawaiian fruit punch-esque but in a dry and tart way. Some nice tangerine and lime in there on the palate. Fantastic.

The “Un-Rose” as I like to call it. Nose is strawberry, cherries and citrus. So clean. On a mineral bed. Smells like summer. Watermelon as well. Blood orange with air. Dense, deep and sappy for this wine as 18 vintage carries a lot of weight with it, but it’s so caressing, so supple and so succulent the extra weight is carried off effortlessly. Amazing palate presence and finesse. The palate is surprisingly mineral with some mid season cherry fruit. This will open as it aerates. But this is best since 15 for me.

Wow. Nose is wide open: raspberries, blood orange peel, rose, minerals and spice. Palate has so much zingy red fruit. Day two and this has gained intensity and white pepper spice. Forget that this is a rose- it’s really so much more than that. Crystalline and elegant!

The best rose/red? Not sure what, but it’s damn good.
