Enjoying a glass of Dr Loosen Blue Slate at sunset in the Polish Mountains after a good day of hiking. This doesn’t get any better..
The nose is a bit shy but shows citrusy touches, a bit of chalk, fresh white grape juice, white peach, white flowers. The palate is super fresh and precise despite some residual sugar. There are citrusy beams shining through and through, some grip in the rear, some lemon peel and a great, fresh finish that lasts for a while. It’s simple yet perfectly executed. A perfect sip to top up a great and active day. Life is good. — 5 months ago
Delicious. Lemon lime, stone fruits, minerals with great acidity and balance. Simply very tasty and great value at $26. Want to get more to see how it ages — 8 months ago
Rich and soft, predominantly ripe and candied peach (both natural and peach-o-ring types), was surprised how different it was than the Urziger Wurzgarten of the same vintage. Not as complex as that one but what it has it have it really delivers on. Just a slightly heavier weight and at 7 years may have been even more enjoyable a little younger — 2 days ago
So much mineral that it’s almost dry. The mineral is like talc. — 3 months ago
Lee Hill
Not only more acidic than the Wehlener Sonnenuhr of the same vineyard but more complex in the acidity itself and the range of flavors; ripe yellow apple, slightly underripe pear, a little lemon, peach and nectarine, mostly all fresh fruit characteristics and not the same candied aspect of the WS. Very good and with the acidity where it still is could go years longer in the bottle — 2 days ago
