Had to buy this because I have a golden doodle! Great but strong aroma. Dark color. Strong oak taste which I enjoy. Very dry but subtle finish. — 9 years ago

Slightly cloudy medium to deep ruby red. Beautiful Cali nose, coated in dark berries, black cherries, black and blue berries, cinnamon, almost like a snicker-doodle. Delicious. Moderate tannins (7.5/10) and a thick, rich, voluptuous full body. Complex and layered with dark cocoa, baking spices and cassis. Long and lingering finish. This 2007 isn't done yet. Drink till 2027. — 8 years ago
More Crowlerishiousness! Initially smells like a fish toenail: aquarium full of skin creatures. Then exhibits some not-quite underripe peach with a funky Siamese rutabaga brother growing out of its doodle lacing.
Super-pointed grapefruit/lemon/guava combo that finishes dry and dessicated but with plenty of acidic, seductive mouth water-making refreshingful- ness. Make no hate. — 10 years ago
Ali Story, of Smith-Story Wines, was in town and did a nice tasting at Classic today. A pleasure to meet and very unique and enjoyable wines.
Neat story behind this wine. Ali & Eric have a golden doodle named Lord Sandwich. He’s known for stealing socks. They created this NV “kitchen sink” field blend (zin, Petite Sirah, carignan, Pinot noir) as “his wine” where proceeds go to those who need socks. Some older wine is put in to this so it was surprisingly mellow for a zin/PS blend. Cherry, Blackberries, plum, & violet. — 7 years ago

Ha! Smells of snicker doodle - or maybe these cookies are still largely in my memory - cinnamon and sugar.
Heavy weighted with blackberry coolie, green pepper stem, pomegranate, cranberry, hints of menthol.
Buddha palm acidity sits with light tannin - a bit hot on the finish -
Actually one of the better local wines I have ever had! — 3 years ago
