First wine of 2025. Served along pork Filet Mignon. No notes as we are enjoying our first 2025 meal with my family. A bit of age on it. A new, fun label that represents the owners' family quite well (a group of artists). Violet, blackberry and pepper. Great width, great matter, long finish, nice caressing tannins. Medium garnet ,medium terracotta rim . Quite spiced , dried fruits, tobacco , touch of caramel , warm earth . Smoky . On the palate quite sweet mix of red and dark fruits, red plum , dark cherry , spiced tobacco, hickory . Quite sweet on the finish , menthol hint, with a touch of caramel on the finish, slightly grippy tannin. This improved quite a lot in the glass , with more fruit noticeable , fills out quite well , better balance. Drink now and over the next couple of years. — 3 months ago
Blend of 38% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot and 8% Other Red Grapes, deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruits with herb and toasty oak notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with smoke, tar and sweet herb spice. This is a full-bodied red that wraps thickly over the palate, showing rich density and concentration along the way.
