This wine’s sat in the cellar for some time now, avoiding opening for no real reason other than little interest in this corner of Burgundy. Well, more fool me, as this was a joy to drink, truly joyous Chardonnay that could hold a candle to many a pricier wine from the Côte de Beaune. The nose is gorgeous, with that delightful medley of burnt butter, lemon rind, cinnamon and wet stone, while the palate adds melon and flecks of vanilla to the mix. It’s saline, harmonious and finishes sneaky long. Wish I had another few of these in that neglected corner of the cellar! — 10 months ago

Ripe black fruit dominates, finish is peppery and tarry. Medium bodied but luscious feel. Very nice — 6 months ago
