This is an extraordinary meritage. A melody of the four grapes that make it up. Decanting for an hour changed the flavor profile dramatically! — 8 years ago
2012 Papillon by Orin Swift. Deep red fruit with a smooth, peppery (Cab Franc) twist.
Shhh, no need to speak. A melody comes back to me that we’ve heard before. For all this time, entangled in thoughts, dreaming in reality, I wait... — 8 years ago
Big Day, Valentine's and Ash Wed, so had to bring out a big gun. Brought it back from our visit to the winery in 2013, and it's luscious, round and yummy! Getting chocolate, raspberries, cherries and a hint of spice in a wonderful melody mid palate... Just awesome. Glad I have 1 more! — 8 years ago
Drank 12/17/17 with Warren and Melody. Stuffed pork chop, broccoli, and sautéed apples. A wonderful example of Shiraz, doubly good for the price. — 9 years ago
Bold cranberry and currant with mild hints of abuse and mint. Soft yet grippy with tight little tannins that cling to your tongue like a melody from the past. Needs time so you can hear the orchestra, but will delicious today. Pair with meatballs and Mikes Davis. — 9 years ago
Freshie! Lovely color. Smells a bit simple. Like a cheapie from southern France. Flavors are nice though. Classic GSM style. Pie cherries, road tar, and mulberry juice ;-). This paired with roasted veggies like no other wine I’ve had. It’s got all the harmony of a choir and the melody of a club banger. — 5 years ago
Ripe red raspberries and blooming hibiscus nose. But there’s so much more crescendoing below the surface. With this many varietals kitchen-sinked into one bottle, the aroma tornadoes through fifty flavors of red. An orchestra of bright, bright, brilliant red fruit chorus across the entire palate. So many grapes harmonizing in the fruit forward melody, with a gracefully succinct and soft finish. Packs perfectly spiced panache to pair with robust acidic Italian red tomato sauces across your favorite starch! — 8 years ago
If this wine could sing it would fill the air with a brooding, heavy, bass-driven melody with a tenor backing that sneaks in and takes over to finish. Heavy at first, leathery and dark forest, it gradually opens into a more bright and fruit forward drink with red cherry and rich exotic spices. Much more poetic than this description. — 8 years ago
I’d put this in the category of “supremely balanced”. It could age another year or so but the tannins are like the harmony to the melody of the gourmet grape jam notes. Normally saying a wine reeked of grape jam would be an insult but this is...like artisan grape jam. With a hit of booze in it. That you’d spread on brioche. Not the most complex cab but really lovely. Soothing. Lullaby wine. Perfect pop n pour with a friend to round off a busy Monday. — 8 years ago

This wine is top notch to bad the series is discontinued We enjoy the melody of flavours...this wine fires on all cylinders. If you can find some it is a must have — 6 years ago

Think I paid 9.99. Good fruit and velvety on the palate. Nothing wrong with it but it won’t help you write a brilliant melody but it will keep a crowd happy. I got a case and am not at all sad I did. Better after 60 minutes. — 8 years ago
What a terrific value at around $30 for this stellar vintage of LM. Mild green pepper, cloves, and lemon shine bright at the start and finish with a smooth melody of vanilla and currant. — 8 years ago
10 dollars...trader joes its a melody of fruit and body. Its all thanks to california. Sorry france. Sorry south africa. ..perhaps argentina and chile can perform. But this solidifies california for cabs. And washington and oregon and burgundy has pinot — 9 years ago

Surprised by the full body bold but the melody of a smooth muted trumpet solo. It captures every color of the rainbow. — 4 years ago
