Riserva Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Yeah buddy! This was their big boy and man did it live up to the hype. Looking forward to trying the 2004 that was supposed to be even better.

Big Day, Valentine's and Ash Wed, so had to bring out a big gun. Brought it back from our visit to the winery in 2013, and it's luscious, round and yummy! Getting chocolate, raspberries, cherries and a hint of spice in a wonderful melody mid palate... Just awesome. Glad I have 1 more!

Heavy cherries, very smooth...

An outstanding wine. Aged long enough to smooth out the jagged edges of the San Giovese.

Deep inky purple and full bodied with medium acidity. Dark fruit and red cherry with earth and leather notes leading to a smooth tannic finish. Delicious! The best information I could find online said that the best drinking window closed this year, but with tannins as strong as this I think it could have slept for a couple of more years.

Drinking perfectly at his time. Tannins are nice and smooth and good fruit. A perfect expression of Sangiovese
