2024/7/24-25. As an old fan of Maume via the KLWM connection, Iβm predisposed towards this. It starts off very quiet, but the nose opens significantly over 30 minutes or so. It starts with red fruit, herbs and stone, but over time reveals darker fruit, iron and earth. The dense, powdery mouthfeel, layered fruit and grippy tannin shows this is still quite young and will probably improve for some time. Also, even I have to admit a (legacy) Maume Pallud may be more suited for cooler weatherβ¦ β 2 years ago

Bright, acidic, beautiful. Floral; sweet with cherry & strawberry notes. Superb wine. Disappeared far too quickly but was a wonderful accompaniment to roast duck. β 7 years ago

MSD ample aroma charming strawberry plum balanced acidity. Gentle. NSG origin. Marchand tawas 1er cru Les Genavrieres Morey Saint Denis @22605, sommelier, 241103 β 2 years ago
This wine comes from the climat of βLes CorvΓ©es Pagesβ which is a 1er cru vineyard located in the Village of Nuits-Saint-Georges (both of which are named on the label). The 2019 vintage was very warm and dry, which helps explain the 15% ABV level, which is uncharacteristically high.
It is deep ruby in color. The nose offers a medium (+) intensity of developing aromas that include black cherry liqueur, ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, red plum, boysenberry, violet, licorice, star anise, vanilla, burnt caramel, clove, tobacco, forest floor, and mushroom.
On the palate, itβs dry, with medium (+) acidity, medium (+) body, high alcohol, medium tannins that are supple and fine-grained, and concentrated flavors consistent with the nose. The finish is medium (+). This wine is juicy, intense, and delicious.
