Poured through Coravin aerator. Dark ruby. Inviting nose of black raspberry, light oak, and cassis. Full bodied palate echoes the nose with velvety tannins and a lengthy, slightly nutty finish. Cabernet Franc takes the lead in this “upside down” Bordeaux. Slightly New World in style, but Bordeaux all the way. Drink now through 2025. — 4 years ago
Have had the7 year old, the 12 year old, the 18 year but the first time for this 25 year old rum from Nicaragua. Quite dark in colour - probably showing the extra age in oak casks. Sooty caramel aromas that translate to the palate. Resinous and oh so smooth. The palate is so rich the alcohol heat is not apparent with a small block of ice. Love these Flor de Cana Rums - have an 18 year left in the cellar for the upcoming winter. — 5 years ago

Dark ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of balsamic, blackberry, black cherry, coffee, mocha, oak, sage, smoke, toast, tomato, and vanilla. Full body; heavy, firm tannins; and medium-high acidity. Robust, deep, and complex (especially after 13 years in the bottle). Rounds out as it opens up. An exemplary, bold California red blend made of 8 different varietals. — 5 years ago
