@Ira Schwartz, all true, he took us to Domaine Chamonard (we were so cold tasting there that our teeth were literally chattering), also Lapalu and Janin in Beaujolais, always in his own cellars, and we’d spend a day at the Marche aux Vins in Ampuis!! In addition to making fabulous wines himself, Eric was so generous with his knowledge and connections, Lenoir in Chinon being another one!!

Little dosage making this wine quite a dry and austere in style however this wine is made with a blend of Pinot Gris and the producer has left the grapes to ripen for as long as possible. A clean fresh style with citrus, bright green apple notes. No biscuit or classic yeasts on the nose or palate. — 8 months ago
