Les Caillasses Brut Millésime Champagne 2008

My rating is taking into account 65 dollars for this wine. It is so good. The nose explodes with apples, pears, peaches, a tiny bit of cream, brioche, seaside. The palate is very acidic with this awesome fruit filled mid palate and then lemon cream at the end. One of the best champagnes I’ve had. Can’t wait try the 2009. — 10 days ago

Exception Arbois Trousseau 2018

A pleasant discovery here and will definitely be back for more. Bright red color and the fruits to match on the palate followed by some earthier notes too. — a month ago

Domaine Gourt de Mautens (Jérôme Bressy)

Vaucluse Red Rhone Blend 2010

Respect the winemaker for staying true to the quality and disregard the status and classification. The nose of classic mineral, floral and cassis. The palate is quite smooth and silky and sweet bitter core. Talcum powder. Very similar to burgundy. Blue fruit smell n pheony smell. Getting smoother as it breaths for an hour — 2 months ago

Thought I was drinking chenin. A muscadet with layers and sapidity. — 3 days ago

Jérôme Chezeaux

Les Pruliers Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2006

The last of my Chezeaux 2006s, the first vintage I bought from him on release. This took a little time to open up (an hour or more after opening, without decanting), but once it did, it was really nice. Good earth and fruit (darker cherry) on the palate. The nose was a little dull even after opening, but with a good swirl of the glass, it got going. Enjoyed at a Covid dinner at home with a friend: farmed duck breast (D’Artagnan) cooked by sous vide (garlic, shallots, rosemary and some sherry) and seared on a cast iron skillet, sautéed mushrooms, and haricot vert with toasted almond slivers. — 22 days ago

Aux Boudots Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2012

Gorgeous! Elegant and limpid, quite aromatic, delicate with plenty of posture from its fine-boned tannin. Plenty of Vosne-esque class here. Black raspberry and candied plum, star anise, licorice, sandalwood, forest, violets, a slight sense of rustic underpinnings. Cooperage is spot on. Well done — a month ago
