A pretty color of ruby with a wide red rim.

On the nose cherries, blueberries, violets, spices, river rocks, earth, concrete, light vegetables and black pepper.

Medium bodied and airy, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet raspberries, tobacco, spices, coffee, earth, vegetables, light alcohol and peppercorn.

Medium finish with fine grained tannins and red chili powder.

This is a young red blend from Southern Rhone. Showing fresh fruits with earth notes. Nice and interesting.

Needs an hour to open up and remove some of the acidity. Tannins show up after 60 minutes.

Already drinking nicely, but needs a few years to calm down. Would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.

Showing mild complexity, and a little hot at the back of the throat right now. Gentle and elegant. Spicy and tangy.

Good by itself and better with food. Paired nicely with Camembert and crackers.

A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. Unfiltered and fined.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Exotic fruits, pineapple, passion fruit. On the grassy side, hay, peach in syrup, apricot... superbly in place for this 2015 with a potential for evolution over the next 25 years, potential evolution towards notes of dried fruit and nuts. Sweet without saturated sugar. Digestible and light. A real wine in the refined sense of the term. Magnificent on a Roquefort cheese.

Notes fruits exotiques, ananas, fruits de la passion. Côté herbeux, foins, pêche en sirop, abricot… superbement en place pour ce 2015 avec un potentiel d’évolution sur les 25 prochaines années, évolution potentiels vers des notes de fruits secs. Note : Louis Bovard makes bio-dynamic culture and has introduced in the Lavaux new grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc. The name of Salix comes from the Latin word meaning the willow, with which one braided the branches to make baskets of vintage. A golden yellow straw robe with a nose of citrus, pineapple and mineral. Once in the mouth, the explosion of flavor with a nice acidity and a taste of citrus and apple. The final is excellent, it remains in the mouth and perfectly accompanied a fish.

Louis Bovard fait de la culture bio-dynamique et a introduit dans le Lavaux des nouveaux cépages comme ce Chenin Blanc. Le nom de Salix vient du terme latin signifiant le saule, avec lequel on tressait les branches pour faire des paniers de vendange. Une robe dorée jaune paille avec un nez d’agrumes, ananas et minéral. Une fois en bouche, l’explosion de saveur avec une belle acidité et un goût d’agrumes et de pomme. Le final est excellent, il reste bien en bouche et accompagné parfaitement un poisson.
