At my first taste, I was amazed at how smooth and well balanced this wine was. Very soft tannins and bright fruit. Taste of strawberry and a hint of the bitter of cherry. Really very enjoyable wine. The cork came apart as we opened the wine so I was concerned that it might have oxidized but not at all. Deep red and purple colors with no hint of brown at the rim of the wine. Haven't tried a wine from Lebanon in a while. Wonderful aroma of dark red and black fruits. Tobacco. Cedar. Sour plum. Pretty cool 😎.
This 2020 is aging pretty well. Could go longer but drinking well now, a bit unctuous. Thick. Not a super structured or complex palette but it holds it's own with any Mediterranean lamb dish that you would pair it with. Very similar to Napa cabs but with a bit less finesse but with more interesting aromatics. — a month ago
