Mas Amiel, le plaisir blanc, côte du roussillon 2024.
The nose is peachy, cereally, a bit lemony. The palate is fresh, acid driven, with peachy and cereally notes all along, some width, some roundness, before a long finish with peach and that cereally touch with a tiny salty touch in end. It's good, cheap stuff that works like a charm. Love it ! — a year ago
Du Bonbon! — 3 years ago
Funky town. I expected this to be a naturally fermented Gamay or something of the sort. Medium tannins, a pleasant barnyard like profile. It’s organic, but merlot and cab- not what I expected. Threw a ton of sediment. Really interesting and good for thr $ — 5 years ago
Mas Amiel Pur Schiste bio - Côtes du Roussion 2018
Strawberry jam, blackberry, black pepper, garrigue, licorice. What a nose for such a low price wine! The palate is well balanced with strong acids, a bright fruit with blackberry mostly, some width, some nice tannins with a grain, and a lot of freshness and fruit on the finish which lasts for ever. This is seriously good for the price tag (less than 10 €) — 6 years ago
A French wine that Lydia liked. Fruity to the point of juicy, dry finish. Great! — 8 years ago
Juicy berries, great food wine. — 2 years ago
2022 vintage. Olivier Decelle also owns Mas Amiel ( Maury), Jean-Faure ( Saint-Emilion), as well as estates in Burgundy and the Rhône Valley under his name. This Saint-Joseph "Empreinte"is a delicious, uncomplicated juicy Syrah with bright fruit, spices, and a gentle tannic bite. Very good value. Abv. 13,5 %. — 2 years ago

This was so great a perfect match to the sticky sweet birthday cake. Not as sweet as a port but similar deep flavors, plus herbal notes — 8 years ago
At its best, I’ve always found Grenache has the ability to achieve an elegance and purity matched by few other Mediterranean grapes. This Maury Sec accomplishes just that - a wine with a cooling berry flavor of length and transparency. Heady, with subtle blue notes and a piney, fresh garden herbaceousness - it captivates with its tranquil breadth and high-toned finish. 80% Grenache, 20% Carignan. — 8 years ago

Lots of fresh fruit — orchard and tropical — jumps out on the nose, along with lots of stony minerals and some sweet hay and floral notes. The pure fruit hits the palate immediately with mouthfilling juiciness. Scent acids and a medium length finish. Grenache Blanc, Maccabeu, Roussanne and Marsanne. This is a terrific pre meal aperitif or apps wine. — 4 months ago
