Still quite young but an opulent, and mostly botrytis vintage. This wine didn’t show any of the botrytis. It was however pretty fluffy and marshmallow in texture. This was opened at left at cellar temp for 2 hours prior to drinking. Wish I would have opened a few hours earlier. Glad I have 3 more. Wont open the others until 2025 or later. — 3 months ago
The 2017 Chablis La Foret 1er Cru is a super-expressive, weightless wine that captures the essence of what makes Chablis so special, and that is the ability to deliver incredible flavor intensity without excess weight. The 2017 needs a bit of time in bottle to come together, as the oak is not fully assimilated just yet. Even so, the 2017 is incredibly vivid and precise. What a wine!

On the darker/heavier side for a Pinot noir, which I like. Would get again. — 4 years ago
Bouchard pere et fils
Teuron Beaune 1er Cru 2009
— 4 months ago
A great bottle for the price. Big red with notes of tobacco — 7 months ago
An Acker tag on and a surprise of how nice it’s drinking. Not yet over the hill. Not complex but nice balance of that aged forest floor notes and Mushrooms with very ripe dark fruits reduced down in cooking. Wine searcher says 50% Négrette, 35% Cabernet Franc et Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah. Bottle confirms Négrette and Cabernet, says 32,327 bottles and this one numbered 13,343. — a year ago
