Great nose features earthy underbrush, roasted herbs, kirsch, and old barrel scents. Mouthfilling flavors are not too extracted, showing loads of savory notes and lots of iodine-tinged minerality. Tannins are soft initially but poke through in the back half of the palate, as does the peppery heat of the alcohol (15%). Acids are on the low-ish side. Finish is clingy and long. As a matter of personal principle, I usually decline to buy wines that are 15% or more, but I got this from Garagiste, which didn’t state the alcohol content, and I clicked purchase before checking. Still, pretty good. — 6 months ago

60% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, 5% Cinsault. Quite delicate and somewhat fruity. — 2 months ago
A great start to birthday celebrations kicking off, this was a great reminder of the Chateau Neuf region and what it offers. On the nose a baboom level of red, rip fruit with a hint of pepper. On the palate slightly more subtle flavours with complexity, retaining the fruit but adding a floral notes, then developing later on into a darker, tobacco tone. Texture was smooth with very fine tannins - all in all a pleasure to drink! — a year ago
